Summary

According to a questionnaire study carried out in 1993 in the vicinity of 16 odour-emitting plants in Finland, significant odour annoyance corresponds to 3-9% odour immission, which 20-25% of the inhabitants perceive as clearly annoying. These values can be used as guidelines for odour annoyance.
