Summary
The article presents the results of a recent meeting of ISO/TC 104, Freight containers, in Beijing, China where many small improvements were debated. Nobody questioned any feature of the basic concept of ISO containers, because more than eight million containers are today in operation, all of them built to the specifications contained in ISO 1496, all of them marked and identified according to the specifications in ISO 6346.
