Summary

Centrifugal magnetic suspension water chillers have been applied to many air conditioning projects for their high efficiency and greatly reduced annual power consumption. Analyses their application in China, and points out that, as a water chiller product, they should be in line with relevant current national standards and meanwhile refer to foreign standards. Suggests understanding deeply the COP, IPLV and NPLV in Chinese and foreign standards and evaluating correctly the performance of centrifugal magnetic suspension water chillers. Engineering case calculation shows that the annual energy consumption of the chillers can reduce by 40%, compared with common chillers. The COP under the nominal working condition can reach Level 1 in national energy efficiency rating grades. The IPLV can be more than 8.7. The unique features of the chillers will change traditional air conditioning system design. They are worthy of being further studied. Centrifugal magnetic suspension water chillers are high energy efficiency products which are worthy of being spread.
