Summary
The basic framework for standardization of evaporative air conditioning terms is presented. According to technical forms, evaporative air-conditioning technology is divided into direct evaporative air-conditioning technology, indirect evaporative air-conditioning technology, indirect-direct complex evaporative air-conditioning technology and evaporative-cooling combined with mechanically refrigerated air conditioning technology. In accordance with the forms of output medium (cooling quantity obtained), it is divided into air-side evaporative air conditioning technology and water-side evaporative air-conditioning technology. In the light of relevant equipment, the definition of these terms is discussed. The operating principles of various evaporative air conditioning technologies with charts and words are presented.
