Summary

HIGH-FREQUENCY ABSORPTION OF ELECTRONS LOCALIZED ABOVE LIQUID HELIUM, IS STUDIED AT 324 MHERTZ IN THE TEMPERATURE RANGE 0.4-1 K IN VARIOUS PRESSING ELECTRIC FIELDS. IT IS SHOWN THAT BELOW 0.85 K AND CONSTANT DENSITY OF ELECTRONS THE ABSORPTION VS PRESSING ELECTRIC FIELD CURVE DISPLAYS SHARP MAXIMA WHICH ARE PROBABLY DUE TO RESONANCE EFFECTS OF COLLECTIVE EXCITATIONS OF TWO-DIMENSIONAL ELECTRONS IN A MEASURING CELL OF CONFINED GEOMETRY.
