Summary

In 1996, 2.4 million refrigerating compressors were manufactured and sold in France. This represents a total sales figure of 1744 million francs when all types of compressor (open, semi-hermetic and hermetic) are taken into consideration, whether these compressors are finished or semi-finished products. Initial statistics for 1997 show that a sales level of 1800 million francs was reached, this being a 3.2% increase compared with 1996.
