Summary

REPORTS ON BASIC RESEARCH INTO THE COMPUTER SIMULATION OF HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEMS. ANALYSIS OF EXISTING SIMULATION PROGRAMS SHOWED A CLEAR LACK OF DETAILED PROGRAMS FOR COMPUTER-REPRESENTATION OF PROCESSES IN THE INSTALLATION AND OF THE INTERACTION OF THE EQUIPMENT, BUILDING AND CONTROLS. AS A RESULT SPECIFICATIONS FOR ALL IMPORTANT SYSTEM COMPONENTS WERE PREPARED AND TESTED. STATES THAT THE SIMULATION PROGRAMS DEVELOPED ON THIS BASIS ARE CHARACTERIZED BY IMPROVED DETAIL IN MODELLING THE COMPONENTS ACHIEVED BY A HIGH DEGREE OF FLEXIBILITY AND THE ABILITY TO REPRESENT COMPLEX INSTALLATIONS.
