Summary
The regimes of "thin" and "thick" film, are separated with the help of a simple model, serving as the basis for a mathematical model of heat and mass transfer in a film which makes it possible to carry out a combined calculation of both regimes. The condensation on a vertical plate is investigated by using this model. The results are compared with the experimental data. The model gives a good description of the characteristic properties of the process observed experimentally.
