Consumer awareness progresses faster than actual purchases in French AC market.

La clim progresse dans les esprits, pas dans les achats.

Type of article: Article

Summary

A survey showed that, although French consumers are aware of the benefits of air-conditioning, this does not necessarily translate into purchases. After two years of growth (+23.4% in 1994 and +13% in 1995), the market for individual air-conditioning levelled off in 1996, with 183,100 air-conditioners sold. However, sales of reversible appliances continued to rise.
