Summary
A small French company employing 120 people, which specializes in continuous forming processes, has delivered to Punjab an original and flexible facility to manufacture 20 models in 10 colours, at the rate of 3,000 refrigerators a day. Four automated assembly lines shape pre-cut and pre-painted sheet metals as a programmable machine picks them up from the stack. On the punching stand, seven machines work in turn, which reduces fivefold the required water power, by half the number of tools, increases line flexibility and halves the cost of the punching stand.
