Cooling-rankine absorption cycles. 2: multi-effect working/cooling cycles-sensible heat supply case.

Number: pap. n. 38 part 2

Author(s) : STAICOVICI M. D.

Summary

MeW/CC basic rules, model and main MeW/CC supplied by sensible heat supply, types, plotts, efficiency and effectiveness are tabulary presented. As compared to NH3 - H2O single-stage cooling CRAC, MeW/CC double- and treble-effect working increases by (9.5-11.1)% and (12.0-14.0)%, for heat/sink source and desorber temperatures of Th,ss=250°C/Tm,c=32°C / 22°C / 12°C and TDI =-27°C / 43°C / 58.5°C respectively. An extention of model results up to Th,ss=330°C is shown. The use of rectificationless working combinations (e.g. H2O-LiBr , NH3-NaSCN , NH3-LiNO3 ) with high critical point refrigerants is beneficial for MeW/CC working and cooling separate and combined yield.
