Summary
CRYOFACS (CRYOgenic FAil-safe Control System) is a safety system to mitigate the hazards presented by the distribution and use of cryogenic liquids. It concerns three common failure modes: failure of a user to close a manual shut-off valve (human error), malfunction of automatic liquid cryogen level controllers, failure of pressure relief valves on cryogenic distribution lines that may fail to reseal after releasing excess pressure. The author is actively seeking manufactures who may be interested in commercial development of the unit. J.V.
