TO ENSURE TOUGHNESS IN THE MATERIAL OF CONSTRUCTION FOR CRYOGENIC EQUIPMENT, VARIOUS TESTS SUCH AS CHARPY IMPACT, NOTCH YIELD RATIO, TEAR RESISTANCE, FRACTURE TOUGHNESS ETC, ARE NEEDED TO MEASURE THE DUCTILITY, CRACK INITIATION, CRACK PROPAGATION ETC. MOST IMPORTANT OF THESE IS THE CHARPY V NOTCH TEST.
