LITHIUM BROMIDE ABSORPTION SYSTEMS CAN BE DRIVEN BY WASTE HEAT IN AN FCCU (FRACTIONATION-CATALYTIC CRACKING UNIT) GAS CONCENTRATION PLANT. THE RESULT IS A REDUCTION IN SIZE AND COST OF SOME COMPONENTS AND A SMALLER POWER AND COOLING WATER REQUIREMENT. THESE SAVINGS ARE MORE THAN THE EXTRA PURCHASE COST OF THE ABSORPTION SYSTEM AND THEREFORE A NET SAVING RESULTS. D.W.H.
