Summary
The last two decades have been characterized by much activity in the field of air-conditioning systems with a view to achieving more ambitious objectives with less energy requirements. This subject is very broad even if we stick only to the most successful proposals which have been most warmly welcomed. The author provides a short review of the most significant aspects of the most important design questions, starting from comfort and indoor air standards.
