TREATS SERIES OF PRACTICAL SUPPLY AIR OUTLETS WHICH FORM A 2-DIMENSIONAL OR 3-DIMENSIONAL WALL JET IN A ROOM. USES NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS OF FLOW EQUATIONS TO DETERMINE BOTH TYPES OF FLOW IN ROOMS WITH DIFFERENT AIR OUTLETS AND DIMENSIONS. ESTABLISHES DIAGRAMS TO DETERMINE MAXIMUM AIR VELOCITY IN THE OCCUPIED ZONE FOR DIFFERENT ROOM DIMENSIONS AND AIR SUPPLY OUTLETS. DEMONSTRATES THAT USE OF UNIFORMLY DISTRIBUTED HEAT SOURCE RESULTS IN INCREASED VELOCITIES IN A ROOM WITH 2-DIMENSIONAL FLOW, AND LEADS TO DROPPING OF SUPPLY AIR JET AT LARGE LOADS WITH CONSEQUENT VERY HIGH SPEEDS IN OCCUPIED ZONE.
