Summary
The author developed a thermal model for determining the daily variations in indoor air temperature in buildings in humid tropical climates. This work was carried out in Venezuela. The parameters considered were solar radiation and external temperature which have an effect on the building, heat capacity and the thermal resistance of materials, as well as the rate of passive air conditioning. A good correlation was obtained between the values calculated with the model and the experimental data.
