Development of polyalkylene glycol (PAG) mono-ether based lubricants for automotive air conditioners.

Summary

PAG oils were developed as lubricants for automotive air conditioners that use 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (HFC-134a). These newly developed lubricants are made from a mono-ether type PAG. Effects of modifications of chemical composition, and effects of additives are studied.
