Type of article: Article

Summary

THE BEHAVIOUR OF CRYOGENS FLOWING IN CHANNELS UNDER CENTRIFUGAL ACCELERATIONS MAY BE DETERMINED USING THIS EQUIPMENT AND HEAT AND MASS TRANSFER MAY ALSO BE INVESTIGATED. THE DEVICE CAN BE OPERATED AT TEMPERATURES DOWN TO LIQUID HELIUM TEMPERATURE AND SPEEDS UP TO 3,000 RPM. RESULTS ARE GIVEN FOR AN EXPERIMENT TO DETERMINE LIQUID HELIUM FLOW RATES AS A FUNCTION OF HEAT SUPPLIED AT THREE CENTRIFUGAL ACCELERATIONS.
