Summary

Describes a work claimed to remove the imperfections of known models for the calculation of heat transfer through radiation. The real radiation view factor between the observed surface and location of mean radiant temperature (MRT) was calculated where MRT represented the global unit for heat transfer in an enclosure through radiation. States the error in calculating the radiation heat flow due to temperature difference linearization was reduced. Mathematical models for calculating the representative MRT in the enclosure were verified experimentally and its deviations from the calculated value due to the heat sources in the enclosure were discovered. Notes that a new sensor was developed with a relatively low time constant for measuring the distribution of local MRT in the enclosure.
