Dynamic modelling of the concrete core conditioning system with the building and design criteria.

Summary

Water carrying systems are increasingly used in room conditioning systems due to the high thermal efficiencies and high thermal comfort. The widely application of the floor heating and ceiling cooling are the examples. A new technology, concrete core conditioning (CCC) system, is increasingly applied in the past several years as well. In this paper, a further technical analysis and discussion is studied for the design process. A dynamic simulation model is made with Simulink for a school building simulating the application of this technology. By means of the dynamic modelling, several issues - the grouping of the CCC; influence of solar radiation; influence of corner room; type of CCC and influence of infiltration rate - which influence the design criteria are analyzed. As a whole, the dedicated conclusions for the design on this project are presented. It is possible to extend some of the conclusions for the other applications.
