Effect of evaporative cooling on attic radiant barriers.

Author(s) : RUSSO E. P., HALL C. A., DEBOSE D., et al.

Summary

A detailed transient computer analysis of an attic with radiant barrier system was performed. The computer model included radiation, forced and free convection, and conduction, as well as ventilation in the attic and evaporative spray cooling of the exterior roof. The solar flux and ambient temperatures were taken to be transient rather than constant. The purpose of the analysis was to determine the impact of varying numerous parameters.
