Summary
Analysis of the possibility of rational use of jet apparatuses (ejectors and vortex tubes) in vapour-compression cycles of refrigerating plants was carried out. Four different versions of ejector use were considered. It is shown that the use of ejectors doesn't always lead to a significant increase in the thermodynamic efficiency of the cycle, but it can be useful for improving heat exchange in the evaporators of large refrigerating plants, for refrigerating capacity control as well as for generating of cold of two temperature levels. The use of a vortex tube in a vapour-compression cycle is in its initial step of development.
