Summary
The application of controlled pumps in air conditioning and refrigeration technology is still in its early stages. The chilled water circuit, a preferential application, can be examined first, but in the back cooling circuit substantial technical groundwork has to be carried out. The controlled pumps used today in the field do not show operating problems in principle. In lab tests, energy savings of up to 70% are proven. In field tests experimental proof will be obtained until the end of next year.
