Energy efficiency of commercial refrigeration systems: what are the main sources?

Summary
The limitation of energy consumption in commercial refrigeration depends very much on the system. Energy consumption of centralized system is significantly different for open or closed display cases. Typical ratios of energy consumption are presented. New technical solutions permitting the limitation of energy consumption are described. They cover both the design of display cases and of refrigerating systems. When possible on-site measurements of energy consumption of new solutions are reported.
