A GENERAL EXPRESSION FOR ENTROPY GENERATION IN COUNTER-CURRENT HEAT EXCHANGERS IS DEVELOPED. IT IS APPLICABLE TO INCOMPRESSIBLE LIQUIDS AND PERFECT GASES. TWO NEW ENTROPY GENERATION NUMBERS ARE DEFINED. THE ANALYSIS IS APPLIED TO AN AIR-AIR COUNTER-CURRENT HEAT EXCHANGER.
