ERROR ANALYSIS FOR RECIPROCATING COMPRESSOR PERFORMANCE.

Author(s) : DRAPER D. C., BRIGGS K. A.

Summary

THE DEMAND FOR IMPROVED EFFICIENCY HAS FOSTERED A NEED TO DEFINE THE ACCURACY WITH WHICH COMPRESSOR CAPACITY, HORSEPOWER, AND POWER ECONOMY CAN BE MEASURED. WITH THE OBJECT OF DEFINING THESE ACCURACIES IN A CONTROLLED INDUSTRIAL LABORATORY ENVIRONMENT, THE AUTHORS REVIEW A CLOSED LOOP COMPRESSOR TEST FACILITY. THEY BELIEVE THIS IS A TIMELY SUBJECT IN LIGHT OF RECENT SOCIETY EFFORTS TO ESTABLISH GENERALLY ACCEPTED METHODS OF SPECIFYING ERROR.
