Establishing and verifying minimum variable-air-volume airflow rates.
Author(s) : MECKLER M.
Type of article: Article
Summary
States that there is a need to establish adequate documentation to characterise the types of mechanically ventilated air distribution systems so that HVAC system designers can properly interpret the published results of building indoor air quality performance. Presents a paper with the aim of assisting in the development and installation of appropriate measurement and control methods capable of determining the actual rates of outside air necessary to ensure satisfactory indoor air quality along with recirculated, filtered and cleaned return air to a typical VAV air distribution system for non-residential buildings. Refers to ASHRAE Standard 62-1989.
