Summary
The first part of the article describes the evolution of the Eurovent certification of liquid chilling packages starting from the certification of the efficiency at full load condition to the introduction on voluntary basis of the classification. Recently, Eurovent manufacturers agreed to certify seasonal efficiency. To establish the European Seasonal Energy Efficiency ratio, ESEER, experimental campaigns were carried out to characterize the evolution of the performances at different condenser inlet temperatures and different loads. The results showed the importance of the implementation of seasonal efficiency index.
