Evaluation of earth-to-air heat exchangers with a standardised method to calculate energy efficiency.
Author(s) : PFAFFEROTT J.
Type of article: Article
Summary
This is a technical paper reporting on an energy efficiency test carried out on three earth-to-air heat exchangers of a type suitable for Central-European office buildings. The temperature behaviour of the heat exchangers is described by plots over time and characteristic lines, then compared using standardized duration curves. Energy gain was illustrated by standardized graphs, while a parametric model was used to provide energy efficiency criteria.
