AN APPARATUS FOR THE EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF THE MOISTURE EQUILIBRIUM ISOTHERMS OF POROUS MATERIALS IN THE HYGROSCOPIC RANGE IS DESCRIBED. DATA FOR 3 TYPES OF MATERIALS COMMONLY USED IN BUILDING CONSTRUCTION ARE REPORTED. THEY ARE GYPSUM, BRICK AND CONCRETE WITH EXPANDED CLAY. THE EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION PROVIDES INTERESTING DATA ABOUT THE HYGROMETRIC BEHAVIOUR OF THE ANALYSED MATERIALS AND POINTS OUT THE OPERATIONAL LIMITS OF THE EXPERIMENTALDEVICE.
