EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF MINIMAL AIR MOVEMENT IN AIR CONDITIONED ROOMS.

EVALUATION EXPERIMENTALE DU MOUVEMENT MINIMAL D'AIR DANS LES CHAMBRES CLIMATISEES.

Author(s) : NGUYEN-DAI D.

Summary

IN VIEW OF ESTABLISHING QUANTITATIVE CRITERIA TO DETERMINE ADEQUATE AIR CIRCULATION, AN ANALYSIS OF ANEMOMETER OUTPUT SIGNALS RELATED TO AIR VELOCITY HAS BEEN UNDERTAKEN. THE NEXT STEP IS THE USE OF THE THERMAL ANEMOMETER CALIBRATION CURVE FOR LAMINAR UPWARD AIR FLOW AS A CURVE OF CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN THE ANEMOMETER OUTPUT SIGNAL AND MINIMAL AIR VELOCITY. A COMPARISON BETWEEN A HYPOTHETICAL LIMIT VALUE OF AN OUTPUT SIGNAL AND THE ENSEMBLE OF OUTPUT SIGNALS RELATING TO AN AIR VELOCITY LEADS TO THE BINOMIAL DISTRIBUTION OF AIR VELOCITY. AN EXPERIMENTAL EVALUATION OF MINIMAL AIR MOVEMENT IN AIR CONDITIONED ROOMS IS POSSIBLE.
