Summary
The paper describes a valved double-inlet pulse tube cryocooler with a Gifford-McMahon compressor unit. The performance of the cryocooler with helium as a working fluid under different working conditions is presented. The lowest temperature of 50 K and the refrigeration capacity of 18.3 watts at 80 K were obtained with the charge pressure of 2.3 megapascals and the working frequency of 6.25 hertz.
