Summary
TO OBTAIN BASIC DATA FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF LARGE-SCALE STORAGE VESSELS FOR LIQUID HELIUM, HEAT LEAK INTO A TEST DEWAR CONTAINING 200 LITERS OF LIQUID HELIUM WAS STUDIED. THE RELATIVE AMOUNTS OF THE HEAT LEAK COMPONENTS DUE TO VARIOUS ORIGINS WERE ESTIMATED AND THE EFFECTIVE EMISSIVITY BETWEEN THE INNER VESSEL CONTAINING LIQUID HELIUM AND THE RADIATION SHIELD AT LOW TEMPERATURE WAS DETERMINED.
