Summary
THE CHARACTERISTIC TESTS FOR RECIPROCATING EXPANSION ENGINE OF THE CLAUDE CYCLE HELIUM REFRIGERATOR-LIQUEFIER HAVE BEEN CARRIED OUT. THE EFFICIENCY OF 49.3% OF THE EXPANSION ENGINE HAS BEEN MEASURED AS A EXPERIMENTAL RESULT UNDER THE STANDARD CONDITION FOR THE EXPERIMENTS. SEVERAL KINDS OF LOSSES OF THE EXPANSION ENGINE WERE ESTIMATED FROM THE RESULTS OF THE CHARACTERISTIC TESTS.
