Summary

The results of the study are useful for designing a hospital room or a bedroom. Five young subjects were involved in these experiments. In all, 28 experiments were carried out under various conditions. Mean radiative temperatures were evaluated from the radiative heat transfer between each face of walls, a floor and a ceiling, and each surface of a rectangular human body model. As a result, it was clarified that SET and PMV (predictive mean vote) that gave the comfortable thermal conditions were around 27.0 °C and 0.25, respectively, under these experimental conditions.
