Summary
Method for calculating the heat losses of the generator of an absorption household refrigerator under operating conditions. The method of calculating heat losses from the external surface of the generator is given, and the results obtained are presented. Heat losses from the external surface of the generator represent approximately 20 % of electricity consumption. The energy efficiency can be increased by the decrease in radiation heat losses (which represent about 35 % of the total heat losses), with a screen system.
