HERE IS A FLEXIBLE PIPE STUDIED IN SEVERE CONDITIONS ; THE PIPE INCLUDES VARIOUS ELEMENTS WHICH HAVE BEEN DIMENSIONED BY PRELIMINARY CALCULATION AND CONTROLLED BY TESTS. RESEARCH ENABLED TO FIND AND CHARACTERIZE THE CONSTITUENT MATERIALS OF FLEXIBLE PIPES WHICH CAN SUPPORT GREAT DISTORTION AT LOW TEMPERATURE ; SUCH CRYOGENIC FLEXIBLE PIPES SHOULD BE INDUSTRIALIZED IN EARLY 1984.
