Summary

THE RESULTS OF THESE EXPERIMENTS ARE SUMMARIZED AS FOLLOWS: A) CORRESPONDING FLOW PATTERNS FOR IN-TUBE FLOW CAN BE OBSERVED,BUT THE BOUNDARIES OF THE FLOW PATTERN MAP DIFFER CONSIDERABLY FROM THOSE FOR IN-TUBE FLOW ; B) IN A LOW VAPOUR QUALITY REGION, THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT DEGRADES WITH INCREASING VAPOUR QUALITY ; C) EXCLUDING THE NUCLEATE BOILING REGION, THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT REDUCES AS THE HEAT FLUX INCREASES ; D) ENHANCED TUBE BUNDLES (INCREASING THE TURBULENCE BY USING SWIRL STRIPS AND TAPES) FOR THE EVAPORATOR GAVE IMPROVED HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENTS ; AND E) ENHANCED CONDENSER TUBE BUNDLES PRODUCED EVEN HIGHER COEFFICIENTS UNDER SPECIFIC CONDITIONS OF HEAT AND MASS FLUX.
