Type of article: Article

Summary

HEAT TRANSFER FOULING PHENOMENA HAVE BEEN OBSERVED DURING POOL-BOILING AND DURING FLOW-BOILING OF VARIOUS LIQUEFIED GASES. THESE EFFECTS WERE PROBABLY CAUSED BY MINOR IMPURITIES DISSOLVED IN THE BOILING LIQUID. THE INFLUENCE OF PROCESS PARAMETERS SUCH AS HEAT FLUX, SYSTEM PRESSURE, FLOW VELOCITY, FLOW QUALITY AND FOULANT CONCENTRATION ON THE FOULING RATES IS DISCUSSED.
