Summary

Brief presentation of the advantages of fuzzy logic in control systems in refrigeration and air conditioning engineering. The authors illustrate the concept with an example which shows its utilization in a simple application of "fuzzy control"; they finally show that, thanks to this concept, an automaton would be able to open and close the blinds in air-conditioned premises exposed to sunshine.
