Summary
The authors compare three methods to approximate the solution of the equation that models unsteady state heat transfer through a wall: discretization in space of the heat equation; approximation of the accurate solution of this equation based on an analysis of the system studied; method of approximation. The capability of the latter compared to two other well-known methods is illustrated.
