Summary
The installation in 2006 of an energy-efficient air-conditioning system in a new Ikea store in Brisbane, Australia, allowed a reduction of the energy consumption by 25% as compared to comparable stores. Chilled beams, chilled water storage and water-cooled chillers with oil-free compressors were used.
