Type of article: Article

Summary

HUMIDITY-DEPENDENT VENTILATION AIMS AT OPTIMIZING AIR CHANGES IN BUILDINGS AS A FUNCTION OF THEIR RELATIVE HUMIDITY. IT ALLOWS THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION ATTRIBUTABLE TO VENTILATION TO BE LIMITED AND TAKES INTO ACCOUNT THE MEASURES REQUIRED FOR PROTECTING THE STRUCTURE FROM CONDENSATION. THE PRINCIPLE CONSISTS IN MODULATING AUTOMATICALLY AIR CHANGES AS A FUNCTION OF THE BUILDING RELATIVE HUMIDITY. FROM 1985, EVALUATION OF THE PERFORMANCE AND RELIABILITY OF 3 SYSTEMS WAS CARRIED OUT. THE RESULTS OF THESE TESTS ARE PRESENTED IN THIS ARTICLE.
