Summary

TWO-PHASE PRESSURE DROP IN COMPONENTS WITH HIGH SINGLE-PHASE PRESSURE DROP, AS CONVENTIONAL GLOBE VALVES, MAY BE CALCULATED WITH AN ACCURACY OF 20% WITH THE EQUIVALENT LENGTH METHOD. TWO-PHASE PRESSURE DROP IN COMPONENTS WITH A LOW SINGLE-PHASE PRESSURE DROP IS MORE INFLUENCED BY INTERACTION BETWEEN THE TWO PHASES, AND THE CALCULATION IS MORE INACCURATE. DUE TO THE LOW PRESSURE DROP, THIS INACCURACY IS OF MINOR IMPORTANCE, HOWEVER.
