Improvement of the compression refrigeration cycle by means of a two-phase ejector.
Author(s) : BUTRYMOWICZ D.
Summary
One of the most important losses in a refrigeration system is that caused by the throttling process. One of the most promising solutions to this problem is the application of a two-phase ejector enabling recovery of expansion work. The idea is based on a vapour-compression refrigeration device equipped with an ejector and a liquid separator. The model of combined compressor-ejector refrigeration cycle is presented in the paper. This model makes it possible to calculate the flow ratio of sucked vapour and motive liquid as well as increase of COP due to the application of the two-phase ejector.
