In-place management of asbestos.
Author(s) : GANICK N.
Type of article: Article
Summary
Removal of asbestos from within an occupied building is expensive and very disruptive. Legislation may permit treatment and containment on site under controlled conditions. Initial stages of the project require a careful survey of the affected areas, and comparison of different options of bypassing, sealing and local removal. This must be planned with the occupiers to minimise inconvenience. A.R.T.
