Summary
For many years plate evaporators have been used for a wide range of applications, such as fruit juice evaporation, desalination aboard ships, refrigerants and smaller industrial applications. None of these plate evaporators are suitable for larger industrial evaporation duties. The paper gives the background for the development and testing of a large industrial evaporator.
