Summary
Monitoring of the temperatures in the evaporator and the condenser is a common approach for assessment of ice bank systems. It is also shown in this article that the fractions of the chiller's part- and full-load operating times have an influence. They change when the chiller is combined with an ice bank system and depend on the operating mode. These effects are calculated by means of a building simulation for a whole year.
