Type of article: Article

Summary

The properties of high-critical temperature bearings, consisting of a set of alternating-polarity magnets and a superconductor, are studied in the paper. The results indicate that the magnetic flux density perpendicular to the superconductor plays an important role in flux penetration. The paper discusses the possibility of applying the Maxwell stress tensor to the estimation of the pressure.
